Queerstory Self-Guided Walking Tour
In celebration of Pride Month, the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH) is excited to announce the launch of their QueerStory self-guided walking tour available in the beginning June 6, 2026 and will be available all throughout Pride Month. To participate, visitors can pick up a tour brochure in the MAH Atrium . The tour highlights pivotal locations in the history of the local LGBTQIA+ community.

Join us this Independence Day for a historic walking tour of Evergreen Cemetery!
What kind of sacrifices were made to create first the village, then the town, and finally the city of Santa Cruz? On this morning walking tour of historic Evergreen Cemetery, explore the theme of celebrating sacrifice and connect with the profound legacies of the individuals who shaped our community.
The tour highlights the deep commitments of early residents, including military veterans and diverse local pioneers, who gave so much to make us who we are today.
About Your Guide
The tour is led by Emerita Professor Traci Bliss, author of Evergreen Cemetery of Santa Cruz. As a local historian with more than 20 relatives buried on the grounds, Professor Bliss brings a deeply personal and authoritative perspective to the triumphs and tragedies of those interred at Evergreen.

Davenport Day is a one-day community celebration taking place adjacent to Historic Davenport Jail in North County Santa Cruz.
Visitors can experience Joshua Moreno’s installation at Davenport Jail for one last time, take a historic walking tour of downtown Davenport, enjoy music by local musicians and DJs, sample food from local restaurants and food trucks, and support the art, creativity, and culture of local artists and nonprofit vendors
