Opening & Artist Reception for Crystal Gregory: Hypergeographies of the Dye Garden

Artist Reception for Dan Levenson: A5 Format Oil on Paper Studies and A3 Format Student Palettes from the SKZ

Fritz Horstman: Folded Worlds | March 7 - April 25, 2026

Municipal Bonds is pleased to present Folded Worlds, Fritz Horstman’s third solo exhibition with the gallery, on view March 7 through April 25, 2026.

Bringing together the Connecticut-based artist’s Folded Cyanotypes—including the largest he has made—and a new body of Folded Palladiums, the exhibition pairs the two series in a single, concentrated installation. In the lineage of camera-less photographic practice, Horstman treats the fold as a formal premise—a rigorous syntax through which light and surface articulate structure. The resulting images hold a particular kind of clarity: planar and spatial at once, diagrammatic and atmospheric, precise in construction and expansive in effect.

Crystal Gregory: Hypergeographies of the Dye Garden | May 2 - June 20, 2026

Municipal Bonds is pleased to present Hypergeographies of the Dye Garden, Crystal Gregory's first solo exhibition with the gallery. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, Gregory centers her new work on handwoven textiles dyed with plants grown in her garden. Each plant yields a distinct color shaped by the conditions of a specific place and time, with climate and season held in the palette. That color enters the work as a record of its origin and continues through the life of the textile, as she brings her weaving into relation with concrete, silver, and wood. Here, cultivation and construction meet, and weaving extends into a spatial and architectural language grounded in place.

Dan Levenson: A5 Format Oil on Paper Studies and A3 Format Student Palettes from the SKZ | May 2 - June 20, 2026

Municipal Bonds is pleased to present Dan Levenson’s second solo exhibition with the gallery, A5 Format Oil on Paper Studies and A3 Format Student Palettes from the SKZ. His work represents artifacts rescued from the ruins of the imaginary State Art Academy, Zürich (SKZ), a school governed by proportion. Student paintings are structured exercises based on standard metric paper sizes. Even the furniture reflects those same measurements. Within this system, the studies and palettes occupy a curious and exacting place. The studies carry the logic of the academy, while the palettes preserve the evidence of making. Levenson uses both forms to consider how an artist is shaped by discipline and freedom.
