Special Events:

The Vertical City, a new exhibition of tall buildings by Norman Foster and Foster + Partners is now open at Transamerica Pyramid Center. The skyscraper is emblematic of the modern age city and is a reminder that the city is arguably civilization’s greatest invention. A vertical community, well served by public transport, can be a model of sustainability, especially when compared with a sprawling low-rise equivalent in a car-dependent suburb. Projects on display include:Transamerica Pyramid masterplan, San Francisco; Commerzbank Tower,Frankfurt; 30 St Mary Axe, London; Deutsche Bank Place, Sydney; 425Park Avenue, New York and more.

With the revitalization of the iconic Transamerica Pyramid Center, Foster + Partners, in collaboration with SHVO, a leading luxury developer, aims to create a vibrant destination in the heart of San Francisco. This ambitious redesign respects and celebrates the building’s unique heritage while restoring the historic Redwood Park. As the most significant renovation in the landmark’s 50-year history, the redevelopment breathes new life into one of the city’s most recognizable and its second-tallest building.
