Exhibition organizer Lang Ingalls will be in SFCB’s gallery to discuss the exhibition OPEN / SET 2025, the tradition of fine bookbinding, and answer questions about the work on display. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience fine design bookbinding by experienced and up-and-coming practitioners.

San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB) is pleased to host the exhibition OPEN/SET in our gallery. Sponsored by the American Academy of Bookbinding (link is external) (Telluride, CO), OPEN/SET is a prestigious triennial exhibition celebrating the art of finely crafted design bookbindings.
The opening reception at SFCB will feature 30+ fine bindings from the exhibition's "open" category, with Best in Show and Highly Commendable awards for open category books announced during the event.

San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB) is a non-profit organization that fosters appreciation of bookbinding and letterpress printing and critical consideration of artists’ books as a medium of self-expression. Offering in-person and online workshops, SFCB provides learning opportunities at all levels, from introductory classes to advanced courses spanning the range of bookbinding and letterpress printing techniques.
